Offered over a four-year period after the Baccalauréat, an International Bachelor in Business Administration is a training programme that is both generalist and professionalisation-oriented, with a strong international and multicultural dimension. It encourages the development of the skills and adaptability that are essential in the business world.
At EM Normandie, this programme is validated by a Bac+4 visa and the Grade de Licence awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
Develop essential, multi-disciplinary knowledge, including the fundamentals of economics and management (accounting, law, project management, finance, leadership, organisational management, marketing, etc.), opening the door to a wide range of careers.
Open up to the international world by immersing yourself in the international campuses of your school, diving into a different economic and cultural environment and optimising your language skills.
Enjoy a wide range of corporate experiences (internships, work-study tracks, challenges, etc.) and broaden your general knowledge. Put your knowledge of project management into practice through teamwork and associative projects, and develop a managerial profile capable of working in a multi-cultural environment.
Both training programmes share the same ultimate objective: to prepare you for a career as a middle manager. However, the Grandes Écoles differ from the universities in a number of ways:
Teaching approaches
The freedom that each school has to organise its teaching is a key differentiator. Many of the Grandes Écoles offer participative course formats (case studies, business games, assignments, projects, etc.) so that you can deal with real-life business situations. What's more, the teaching staff generally have access to the latest digital tools to run their Classes.
The student experience
The quality of the student experience is another strength of the Grandes Écoles. The student associations make the campuses dynamic and give each school its own particular colour and atmosphere. You'll have to develop your skills and manage many tasks yourself: finding partners, promoting your project, managing budgets and so on. Get involved in subjects you're passionate about, carry out practical projects and see them get off the ground!
Student support
The supervision of each student and the monitoring of their progress are also more extensive than at university. In some institutions, you even benefit from tailor-made support to help you define your career plan and choose your specialisations. Depending on your affinities, values and motivational factors, you will gradually move towards the business sector and/or job that suits you best. In this way, you can move in the right direction and successfully enter working life.
International exposure
By immersing yourself abroad, you can dive into a different economic and cultural environment and cultivate your open-mindedness. Whether you go abroad or stay on your campuses, get to know a multicultural environment by mixing with students and teachers from all over the world. You can even earn a double degree by going to one of your school's partner universities.
Career opportunities
Maximise your chances of finding a job by increasing your work experience (internships, work-study track, etc.) and the work supervised by experts from the business world (assignments, projects, etc.) to prepare you for your future role. Find your internships, work-study tracks and first jobs thanks to the support of your school's alumni network and partner companies who share their job offers. You can also take part in recruitment events organised by certain schools, where you can get in touch with professionals.
Acquire a comprehensive view of how companies work, thanks to multi-disciplinary teaching in management, audit-finance, marketing, logistics, etc. Identify the areas you are passionate about while developing a base of generalist skills that will open you up to a wide range of business sectors and management functions.
In the third year of the Programme, you can choose to pre-specialise in specific areas such as logistics, finance, marketing, international trade, etc. Develop the essential hard and soft skills, apply your knowledge through practical case studies and become a professional in your field, in demand with recruiters.
By studying in another country, you can develop your international outlook, improve your language skills and open the door to a career abroad or in France, in a company that is open to the world.
