Requirements

The Summer School is open to Undergraduate and Graduate students providing that applicants have the pre-requisites specified in the course’s syllabus.

For non-native English speakers: a B2 level (CEFR) or equivalent (TOEFL IBT 83, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 790) is required. Official test scores (e.g., TOEFL iBT 83, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 790) are not mandatory; a certificate or written confirmation from a language professor at your home university is sufficient.

EM Normandie will organize cultural visits to enable you to discover the beauty of Dublin, Normandy and Paris.
Dublin, with its lively streets and warm, welcoming atmosphere, invites you to dive into the rich heart of Irish culture. From the historic halls of Trinity College to the colourful façades of Temple Bar, the city captivates with its unique blend of tradition and modernity.

In Normandy, visit Honfleur, with its picturesque port and charming little streets, and Étretat, famous for its spectacular cliffs, will seduce you with their unspoilt nature. Le Havre, with its historic port, immerses you in the region's maritime heritage. In Paris, the Opéra Garnier dazzles with its grandiose architecture, while a cruise on the Seine reveals the capital's iconic monuments.     Dr Rajibul HASAN | PhD, Digital Marketing in the age of AI

    Rajibul Hasan is a Professor of Marketing. He joined EM Normandie in 2023. Rajibul Hasan has a PhD in marketing from the University of Kent, awarded in 2016. His thesis is on the adoption of innovation in the Bottom of Pyramid Market. His research interests are Artificial Intelligence, tech, digital marketing, innovation, and consumer behavior. His publications discuss the adoption behavior of robots, and other smart technologies. With a research background in Artificial Intelligence, tech, digital marketing, innovation, and consumer behavior, he has published articles and editorials in peer-reviewed journals. Professor Hasan’s research has been published in numerous academic journals, including Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, and Journal of Business Research, among others.

    Dr Aneta Hamza-Orlinska | PhD, HR and people management in the age of AI

    Aneta Hamza-Orlinska is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management. She joined EM Normandie in 2021. She has a PhD in management from the Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL, awarded in 2019. Her thesis is on the ambivalence of Diversity Management local reinterpretations in the Polish subsidiaries of four international companies and she received the second prize for “best doctoral research project” at Atlas-Afmi conference in Madagascar (2017). Her research interests are diversity management, cross-cultural management, and transfer of human resource management practices from multinational companies to their subsidiaries in Europe. Prior to joining EM Normandie, she worked in Trinity Business School, Dublin Business School and Paris-East Créteil University.

    Dr Nguyen Khoi TRAN | PhD, Contemporary issues of global trade and logistics

    Nguyen Khoi Tran is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management and Logistics. He joined EM Normandie in 2019. He has a PhD in logistics and maritime commerce from the University of Bremen, Germany, awarded in 2015. His thesis is on maritime logistics, with a specific focus on container shipping. His research interests are maritime economic and logistics, large-scale network analysis, network optimisation and shipping emissions.

    Farrokh Sheikhahmadi | Introduction to data analysis using Python and ChatGPT

    Farrokh Sheikhahmadi is Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management and he joined the EM Normandie business school in 2024. He is PhD Student in Management Science at l'Université du Havre Normandie and he has an MBA in strategic management. His thesis is about the application of digital innovations and data-driven methods in logistics, with a focus on different types of transport services including intermodal, multimodal and synchromodal transport. His recent researches have been mainly focused on the application of quantitative and analytical methods in logistic services.

    Nabila ABID | PhD, International management : Managing across borders & cultures

    Nabila Abid is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Innovation and she joined EM Normandie in 2024. She holds a PhD in Management and Business Administration from the University of Gabriele D’Annunzio Chieti-Pescara in Italy, obtenined in 2023. Her doctoral thesis explored the pivotal role of bricolage in achieving superior business performance in small and medium enterprises in a developing context. During her PhD studies, she was a visiting researcher at Regensburg University in Germany, the Technical University of Munich in Germany, and Newcastle University Business School in the United Kingdom. Her research interests are diverse, encompassing entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation, strategy, sustainability, big data at the organizational level and energy policy and environmental economics at the country and regional levels.

    Camilla QUENTAL | PhD, Mindfulness and sustainability

    Camilla Quental is Associate Professor in Management and Organization Studies and she joined EM Normandie in 2024 after numerous professional experiences in France and abroad. She holds a PhD in Management Sciences from HEC Paris awarded in 2011. Her research interests include human resources, labor relations, gender and diversity issues, as well as ethics and sustainability in organizations. She has published numerous research articles and chapters on these topics. Camilla has extensive experience teaching different audiences, from undergraduate to executive education, in countries such as France, Brazil, China, Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates. She serves as Associate Editor of the journal Gender, Work & Organization and is member of the United Nations PRME (Principles of Responsable Management Education).

    Cathy RUBINOS | PhD, Mindfulness and sustainability

    Cathy Rubinos is an Associate Professor of Economics and she joined EM Normandie in 2024. She holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability from Arizona State University awarded in 2017. Her dissertation focused on the governance and resilience of common-pool resources, particularly water resources in agricultural development. Her research centers on understanding how ecological, social, and institutional factors influence the resilience of social-ecological systems. Recently, she has developed a keen interest in social and environmental innovation, women's entrepreneurship, and informality. Her research employs a multi-method approach, incorporating qualitative insights from both contemporary and historical case studies, formal mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA).

    Dr Yihan Wang | PhD, Doing Business in a changing world

    Yihan Wang is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He joined EM Normandie in 2020. He has a PhD in Administration (Specialist field: international business) from HEC Montreal, Canada, awarded in 2019. His thesis is an analysis of the Chinese aerospace industry. His research and teaching areas are international strategy, innovation networks and regional development. He is also Academic Director of Graduate program International Business.

She is PhD candidate in Strategic Management at NEOMA Business School, France & The University of Antwer, Belgium. Her thesis focuses on crowdsourcing from a Contingency Logic perspective. Her research interests include Open Innovation (OI), sustainability and emerging technologies. Her papers have been published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals such as Industrial and Corporate Change, Technovation and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. She has actively presented her work in top-tier conferences such as R&D Management Conference and the World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC). Also, she has organized multiple doctoral consortiums and research workshops with leading scholars internally and internationally. She has years of experience not only as an academic lecturer but also as a Senior Strategist and Senior Consultant in several industry projects.

    Roya Tat is an assistant professor in Supply Chain Management and she joined EM Normandie in 2024. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tehran in Iran and a Post-Doctorate in Operations Management from the IESEG School of Management in Paris, France. Her research interests include Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Supply Chain Coordination/Contract Design, and Operations Management. She has several years of professional experience teaching various courses in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Management

    Dr. Yonathan Silvain ROTEN, PhD | AI & Decision making: can AI influence you ?

    Yonathan Silvain Roten is a professor of Marketing. He joined EM Normandie in 2021. He has a PhD in Management Sciences from the Panthéon Sorbonne University awarded in 2019. His thesis is on the new practices of phygital interactions between consumers and sellers. His research and publications focus on screen sharing, as a shopping practice during a joint shopping journey, and as a selling practice during a service process.

    Dr. Olivier KOVARSKI | DBA, AI & Decision making: can AI influence you ?

    Olivier Kovarski is an Associate Professor of Marketing. He joined EM Normandie in 1998. He has two DBA in Business Administration, one from the Business Science Institute (Luxembourg) awarded in 2018 and one the IAE Lyon School of Management, awarded in 2019. His thesis examines how a public event may lead to positive word-of-mouth, namely in the case of film launch events. His research interest is Buzz Marketing, namely how an event makes people talk about a brand positively.

    Josip Marić is an Associate Professor in Information Systems. He joined EM Normandie in 2020. He has a PhD in management science from the Université de Montpellier, awarded in 2018. His thesis is on sustainable development and digital transformation, with a specific focus on the implications of 3D printing technology. His research interests are Information Systems (IS), operations management, innovation and entrepreneurship. His research focuses mainly on digital technology, digital transformation, innovation and sustainable development. He is Academic Director of M1/M2 DESMI.

    Dr David MOROZ | PhD, Wine & Gastronomy

    David Moroz is an Associate Professor of Economics. He joined EM Normandie in 2020. Il has a PhD in economics, awarded in 2003 by the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne. He wrote his thesis on the issues related to defining property rights to the human genome. His research interests are understanding the dynamics of cultural change with a particular focus on alternative investment markets. His articles analyse the foundations of reputation in the alcoholic beverages market, namely spirits.

    Dr Sylvaine CASTELLANO | PhD, Wine & Gastronomy

    Sylvaine Castellano is a Professor of Strategy. She joined EM Normandie in 2020. She was Dean of the faculty of EM Normandie from 2022 to 2025. Sylvaine Castellano has a PhD in management from the University of Luxembourg, awarded in 2010. Her thesis is on the dynamics of legitimacy and reputation in the wine industry in France. Her research interests are institutional and competitive dynamics, specifically in the wine and luxury markets. Her publications discuss the concepts of reputation, e-reputation and legitimacy. She has also written and coordinated books on entrepreneurship and online reputation.
