Sarah Alves is a Professor of Human Resource Management. She joined EM Normandie in 2011 after 10 years working in other business schools and a career as an HR practitioner. She managed a programme in Human Resources and was then the Dean of the faculty of EM Normandie from 2016 to 2022. She has a PhD in management science from the Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, awarded in 2007 and an accreditation to supervise research (HDR) from the Université de Rouen-Normandie, awarded in 2018. Her thesis is on work-study programmes in higher education. Her research interests are issues relating to work-study and, more broadly, on the link between work and learning; she also explores issues related to skills development and human resources management.
