Business Game 2024

Mélissa CHRISTOPHE, work-study student in Master 2 at EM Normandie:

"I am a Master’s student at EM Normandie. This week, I worked on a business game with fellow students from other majors."

Matthieu HURBAIN, President of Ludimation:

"This week, the students of EM Normandie participated in a business game. It is a business simulation through an online digital tool. They faced challenges and made strategic decisions as the company’s activity and economic conditions evolved, all while competing against each other. There were 850 students in total, spread across Paris, Le Havre, Caen, Réunion Island, and Martinique."

Henry NGAZO, work-study student in Master 2 at EM Normandie:

"I found it interesting to conclude our Master's program with a business game because we had already covered all the subjects in finance, but we needed something concrete and real with a company. We had created companies before, but never anything as advanced, with unexpected events at times. We make financial forecasts, but it is crucial to know that sometimes what we predict does not happen, and we need to adapt."

Matthieu HURBAIN:

"It was more than just a challenge; it was a complete creation where students had to manage accounting, sales, commerce, human resources, investments, fundraising, as well as the company's brand image, CSR aspects, and human resources within the company."

Mélissa CHRISTOPHE:

"We used many things we learned in class, particularly matrices. Today, we used the Eisenhower matrix, and we also applied concepts from CSR and e-reputation, especially crisis management. They were not real crises, but we had to handle employee complaints and find solutions. We managed market fluctuations. Everything we learned in our majors was used this week."

Precyane ADJI, work-study student in Master 2 at EM Normandie:

"This business game was very interesting. It really allowed us to apply all our skills and knowledge from all majors. It was an amazing experience that I highly recommend."

Matthieu HURBAIN :

"The students did really well. There were some failures for some and successes for others. Everyone reacted in their own way, but overall, we saw great involvement and strong commitment from them."
